The HEALTHY PENIS has taken up residence in Cleveland to help decrease the rates of syphilis infections among men who have sex with men (MSM). The campaign was first implemented in San Francisco. It proved to be highly effective in raising awareness about syphilis and persuading gay/bisexual men to get screened and treated, which led to a significant decrease in syphilis cases. HEALTHY PENIS was later implemented in Seattle, San Jose (CA), and Winnipeg, Canada. A spin off campaign entitled “Stop the Sores”, was implemented in Los Angeles, Portland (OR) and Philadelphia.
